Brown on Ed Lozama Live
It’s always a pleasure to listen to Les Brown. Talk to him on the phone is a thrill. Imagine what it’s like to have him live on the radio. Wow! It’s all I can say. Les paid a visit on Ed Lozama Live this morning and we all had a blast.
Les is in town for his series of conference on “Bringing out the Millionaire in You”. He is scheduled to speak at 7:00 PM Wednesday March 16th.
I give Les Brown all the credit for the success I’ve known in the broadcast industry.
I still remember how down I was some 14 years ago. I had just lost my business and felt down and out. One night, I caught Les Brown on a public television channel talking directly to me as if someone has told him my story. I remember him telling me: “When life knocks you down, try to land on your back because if you can look up, you can get up”. It made me realize that all the complaining and grumbling I was doing weren’t going to help me get out. I had to turn over on my back and look up.
During the same speech, Les challenged me to identify the one thing in life that I love doing so much that I would do it for free. He challenged me to go for it. I remember thinking to go back to my first love: Radio. From there I did Voice of America, Radio Vision 2000, Radio Carnivale and now Planet .
Motivation does work. I’m living proof of it.
