Dale Carnegie was a pioneer in public speaking and personality development. He is perhaps the most well-known author in the field of communication and public speaking.

He was born in Maryville, Missouri, USA. He grew up on a small farm, and endured the struggles and poverty of farming life.

He had a strong belief that the quickest way to develop a person’s self esteem was by public speaking. His book, "How to Win Friends and Influence People", was published in 1930 and has sold well over 10 million copies. His books continue to help people worldwide. He truly believes in the saying, "Believe that you will succeed, and you will".
