Haitian actor Jimmy Jean-Louis paid a visit Wednesday to Ed Lozama Live.

Jimmy who recently starred in the movie “The game of their lives” is in South Florida to work on the Haitian movie “Cousine” produced by top Haitian producers Wilkenson Bruna (Wind of Desire) and Richard Senecal (Barikad).

Jimmy’s career started in Paris where he studied acting at the “Phillipe Naud Acting Workshops” and International Dance Academy.

Besides his acting, Jimmy is also a dancer and a model.

His movie credits include The Bourne Identity released by Universal Studios, Monster-in-Law with Jennifer Lopez and Jane Fonda produced by Avery Pix, and Derailed produced by Nu Image.

He has appeared on Dr Vegas and The District on CBS, Fastlane on Fox and Arliss on HBO.

In “The Game of their Lives” Jimmy played the role of Joe Gaetjens, a Haitian student who starred on the United States 1950 World Cup Soccer Team. Gaetjens scored the lone goal that helped the US beat powerhouse England in the 1950 world cup.

Jimmy tells us David Anspaugh who directed the movie was not looking to cast a Haitian actor in the roll. Instead, he was looking for a good actor with soccer skills. Jimmy beat out over 1000 actors who tried out for the role.

“The Game of their Lives” is featured in selected theatres around the United States and will be on South Florida screens during this summer.
